Selected aspects of management in social welfare and social work in times of risk
Abstract
Social policy, social assistance, and social work are currently facing significant challenges in times of risk. Demographic changes, migration-related issues, and external threats are coexisting with attempts to reform the social assistance system through deinstitutionalization and servitization. These are reflected in the development of community-based services and the transformation of social assistance centers into community service centers. All of these phenomena and processes pose a challenge to the management practices of social assistance organizational units, but also to educators educating and training future and current managers of public sector social policy entities.
